Looks like Ravi Swaminathan is building a team of his trusted lieutenants at AMD India. Close on the heels of P Raghuraman’s appointment as Director, Transaction Business, Saivijay Khanagav has joined AMD as Director, OEM Business.Post Swaminathan’s appointment, AMD seems to be on a hiring spree of HP executives—especially those who have worked with him over the years. Khanagav was Partner Business Manager, PSG at HP India before his recent stint as General Manager, Channels at Sun Microsystems. Raghuraman, who headed Fujitsu's channels before joining AMD, was the former Sales Director at HP PSG. Both have worked with Swaminathan during his tenure at HP.
According to sources, a few more former HP executives are expected to join the AMD team at the regional level. One such is Vinay Sinha, who was heading HP PSG business in North India. He has joined as the Director, Business Development at AMD India. Meanwhile, Arvind Chandrasekar, Manager, Business Development—an AMD India veteran of nearly a decade—will move to a new role to manage corporate strategy.
